Testimonials

"Great little app, just what i've been looking for!" I mainly use this for controlling my Windows MCE 2005, great little app, worked first time, and i've already configured a few more buttons. Great, well worth the money.

iInterface remains in an always connecting state but never connects or times out

Description / Cause:

The problem is a result of non ascii encoded characters being present in the iPhone's or iPod touch's name property. When these characters are present it results in no data being sent to iInterface Server thus the connection is never authenticated.

Solution:

This problem has been resolved in iInterface v1.0.1 which has been submitted to Apple for Review, we expect this update to be public this week.

Manual Work Around:

Connect your iPhone or iPod touch to iTunes, then use iTunes to rename your device, be sure to clear the text and type in a new name from scratch. Reload iInterface on your device and retry a connection.

iInterface does not successfully pair with host which results in duplicated paired devices and no connection.

Description / Cause:

We have resolved this issue in iInterface Server which can now be downloaded. This problem can be diagnosed by paired devices being duplicated in the server pane everytime a connection is attempted.

Solution:

This problem has been resolved in the latest version of iInterface Server. You will need to download and install the latest build to all your Windows PC's.

Manual Work Around:

When the bug is present you can still get full functionality without pairing the device, when prompted on your Windows PC, uncheck "Pair with this device" then click "Allow".
